Our story.

Adam & Laura Atkinson have been married and in ministry together for 12 years and have two very energetic little girls. Adam is a Jersey boy, who loves sports and is a Tampa Bay Buccaneers fan. Laura was born in Mexico City and lived in Colombia before coming to the States at the age of 10. They served in the Dominican Republic for two years before being called to Miami, where they have ministered for the last 5 years.

In January 2022, God called them to be bold and dream big. This is how Regenerate Miami was born. Their vision is to catalyze a discipleship multiplication movement that creates a lifestyle shift, where people strive to live out the mission and love deeply. The movement is inspired by Acts 2:46 and seeks to intentionally mobilize and connect people to God through discipleship.

Our discipleship groups are called Sea Stars because a Sea Star can detach an arm, and regenerate a new arm. Not only that but the detached arm will regenerate into a whole new Sea Star.

This is our goal for the discipleship communities.

Did you know?

As a believer, you are not only a disciple of Christ but you are called to make disciples.

Mobilizing believers to live missionally.

"Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.”

Mt. 9:37-38

We realize that we cannot reach the lost without the collaboration of other believers here locally. In order to reach the lost, we need to mobilize as many believers as possible through life-on-life discipleship and missional living.

Every week we have meals together, pray, read God's word, and equip individuals to apply missional living in their communities through prompts and challenges. We also collaborate with churches, pastors, and faith-based organizations across Miami.

Miami is the 10th least religious city in America. We see the results left by the betrayal of trust and faith in God in our communities.

We are called to make disciples and are motivated by love to reach the lost. All believers are called to be disciple-makers, but are all believers actively pursuing this command? Are we being active doers and not just hearers of the word? We believe that there is untapped potential for followers of Christ to live deeply transformed lives where making disciples becomes a lifestyle.

Do you desire a deeper sense of community? Healthy spiritual habits? Accountability? An opportunity to develop your leadership style?

Go deeper in your love for God as you learn to live missionally outside of the church walls. We invite you to be a part of our next discipleship community!
